We Love to Vintage

So I found this picture when I had the complete fortune of getting a hold of the internet (what was once an every necessity is now a pined after privilege), I found it on missmilli's blog (if you want to find cool – go there) and I completely fell in love with the picture, it reminds me of the state I'm in when I  listen to Florence and the Machine (don't tell me you don't zone into some other state when you listen to that band) – old 'souled', antiquated yet vivacious, vintage and timeless. Okay let me not bore you with my flowery language.
I’m in Johannesburg (again), my sister is getting her ankle checked out and so I decided to tag along – hoping to meet up with a friend and...look at pretty clothes and pretty people.
I realise that, conventionally, the word 'vintage' is not a verb but an adjective - I thought it would be a cool (clearly unconventional) title (:
Hope you're all doing well.

Carey Mulligan for W Magazine

Five to six years ago, when Carey played one of the younger, more irritating Bennet sister's in my ULTIMATE favourite movie  Pride and Prejudice (2005), I hardly payed her any attention at all.
Now however, W Magazine shows the world what she's become: a force, a style icon, a beaut.
This has to be one of my favourite covers - ever.

In other news: I got my results today and this girl, is going to third year! Can I get a cyber woop woop?!
You can't even begin to imagine how happy and RELIEVED I am.
Now my holidays can truely begin - tomorrow - I go to a very high class wedding.
Cheers to the freakin weekend!

The Day We Died.

Herieth Paul for Dress to Kill Magazine (Winter 2011).

There's actually not much to say really, nothing at all.

Jason Wu Pre Fall 2012

I'm loving this piece from Jason Wu's recent pre-fall collection, it's dark, regal, mature and yet super fresh and feminine.
The world won't help but to take you seriously in this ensemble.

The 411

I'm not dead, I'm not missing - things have just been particularly hectic.
I'm back in Lesotho (yay!) which means my lovely limitless internet connection gleaned from my varsity tuition is officially unavailable (boo!), thus, posts may seem random and sporadic for the next few weeks - but not to worry!Nothing a Vodafone modem can't fix (:
The other thing is my dear sister got herself a DOUBLE fracture on her ankle last week so I've actually just been chilling at the Morningside Medi-Clinic in Joburg for the past five days...hectic.
I hope everyone is doing well, it's almost Christmas and despite my sister's sad injury I am still pretty excited - I plan on buying red party hats for everyone, including my dad - I've officially stolen my mother's camera so hopefully I can start posting more pictures of my life and 10 week holiday in Maseru, Lesotho.

Love, Light and Blessings!
